No. Setting up takes one step: copy a single JavaScript snippet from your dashboard and paste it into your website's HTML just before the closing
tag. If you can edit your website's HTML, you can add the widget.
Any platform that lets you add custom HTML or JavaScript — WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, custom-coded sites, and more. As long as you can paste a script tag, you're good.
Most users are live within 5–10 minutes. Creating an account, adding your website, uploading a few knowledge base entries, and pasting the embed code is all it takes.
The platform can use a shared API key so you don't need your own. However, if you're on the Pro or Enterprise plan, you can supply your own OpenAI API key for dedicated usage and to use your preferred model.
Knowledge Base & AI
It's a set of question-and-answer pairs you write yourself. When a visitor asks a question, the AI searches your knowledge base using full-text search and uses the best match to craft an accurate, contextual reply.
You can add entries one by one via the dashboard form, bulk-import from a CSV file, or use the API. Each entry has a question, an answer, optional keywords, and a category to help with organisation.
Company Details let you store structured business information (phone, email, address, hours, services, etc.) that is automatically injected into every AI conversation — no KB entry needed. The AI always knows your basic info.
It triggers a fallback response — a message you customise — and optionally presents your contact form so the visitor can leave their details. You're notified by email and can follow up directly.
Yes. In AI Config you can write a full system prompt defining your bot's name, personality, scope, and tone. You can make it match your brand voice exactly.

Yes. The Free plan includes one website, knowledge base entries, and a set number of monthly chat sessions — enough to try everything properly. No credit card required to sign up.
Yes, plan changes take effect immediately. Upgrading unlocks higher limits right away. Downgrading takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
A session is one visit from one visitor. It starts when a visitor opens the chat widget and ends when they close the page or the session times out. One visitor = one session, regardless of how many messages they send.

Customisation
Yes. You can customise the primary colour, background, text colour, bot name, avatar image, and widget position (bottom-left or bottom-right). Changes apply instantly without touching your site.
Yes. Canned Replies let you define shortcuts that appear as tappable chips in the widget. Visitors can tap them to send a common question without typing.
Absolutely — you can set any welcome message. You can also enable A/B testing to try two different welcome messages and see which one drives more engagement.
Yes. The widget is fully responsive and works on all screen sizes and browsers, including mobile Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Privacy & Security
Only you and your team. Chat sessions and messages are stored in your account and are never shared with third parties or used to train any AI models.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API calls use JWT authentication. The widget uses CORS domain locking so only your authorised domains can use your widget token.
The widget stores a single anonymous visitor UUID in localStorage to recognise returning visitors and maintain session continuity. No tracking cookies are used.
Yes. In your website settings you can specify an allowed domains list. Any embed attempt from an unlisted domain will be blocked by the CORS policy.
